    Hi.
I recently bought 6 1ltr bottles of Samichlaus Classic Holzfass . To my surprise it is an old fashioned porcelain cap on the bottles. Is this type of cap/crock suitable for cellaring?

Of course. The bottle is sealed, the contents are isolated. Age to your hearts content

so a rubber seal on the porcelain cap? the oxygen ingress through rubber is actually quite high, at lest when compared to an oxygen scavenging cap or a cork. That beer can stand up well still I'd think, but the closure is less than ideal.
