Alright, hate's not the right word. I should have said the criticism is deserved.

I think that's what their Barrel Room Collections and Kosmic Mother Funk were supposed to be. Anyway, I'm gonna bite. I liked their Rebel IPA (and I will argue to the death that 'rebelling' against West Coast IPAs means you're making an East Coast IPA, not a less hoppy West Coast IPA).

I'll definitely give this one a shot; sam adams light is a staple in my fridge.

Been consuming SA products for over 20 years....Tried most of their offerings and have my favorites..
Like the Rebel Ipa/Rebel Rider Ipa, do not enjoy the Rebel Rouser Double IPA....
Will definitely try their Grapefruit offering

I'm not sure but if they did, that would seal the deal.

They have too to back off the malt they over use. I can barely drink their Octoberfest

good point but Sculpin sells no matter what and hardly any of the breweries ever drop the price.

They've had sours for years. Their Stony Brook Red which is a pretty good sour (86 average on here) was from 2009.

That SA Pilsner they used to put out was quite good imo

Funny how so many on this site are haters without even trying it.

    It's :sunglasses: to SA bash?!

    Shame on you. :slight_frown:

Well, they couldn't figure out how to brew a citrussy IPA using hops only, so here's the next logical answer....

So in the past week I've seen three other breweries releasing IPAs with citrus fruit or juice being added (Green Flash, Victory, and New Belgium). No mention of hate though. Guess they aren't Sam Adams so they aren't stealing ideas.

Shhhh don't detract from the Sam hate, never mind the fact that they've already made IPAs with things added to them like Juniper, Apricot, and Pineapple.

Not a big fan of grapefruit forward IPAs, so I'll probably skip. That being said, the Rebel series isn't bad at all in my opinion. The Double IPA is very competitive vs. some of the favorites here. Looking forward to trying the Raw one when it comes out.
