The Sam Adams Summer Sampler includes the following this year:
    Belgian Session
    East-West Kolsch
    Boston Lager
    Summer Ale
    Cherry Wheat
    Noble Pils

I haven't ever tried the Belgian Session or the Kolsch, so I'm thinking about grabbing one of these. Is it worth picking up?

Pros: Boston Lager, Noble Pils, East-West Koelsch. Cons: Summer Ale, Cherry Wheat. Unknowns: Belgian Session.
    You decide.

I'd pass, but that's me. Noble Pils is phenomenal and when I see it in a mixed pack I think "I'd rather have a 12 pack of Noble Pils."

I am with Providence. I am curious to try the Belgian Session, but outside of that I will wait patiently for their next variety pack.

Noble Pils is very good. I just had my first Summer Ale of the season last weekend. I don't love everything SA does, but Summer Ale is a really, really good beer. Not much beats it on hot days after a round of golf, I can promise that.

There is also another beer/lemonade product coming out called "Porch Rocker", they are calling it a Bavarian Style Radler.

I kinda like the variety packs especially if they knock a few bucks off it with your Kroger card.

Cherry Wheat is a bit much, I save it for when I am sick.

Ah, as a substitute for syrup of ipecac, I guess?

They don't exist anymore, so that shouldn't be a problem. Nobles is now 6-pack only.

I'll pick one up, I try to always grab their variety packs. They may not necessarily knock my socks off, but it is 12 solid brews for not too much cash.

The Belgian Session is alright. Nothing offensive, nothing great. The Kolsch was pretty nice actually.

I know Summer doesn't get much respect, but it was one of the first "craft" beers I got into and I still enjoy it. The Kolsch was good last year and Pils is solid (as others have noted). But yeah, Cherry Wheat is just awful. I actually enjoyed the Saison they included last year, so hopefully the Belgian Session will be decent as well.

Say what you will about the sub-stellar quality of most of their beers, you can tell BBC is actually putting thought and effort into these mixed packs.

I usually like SA's variety packs but there's nothing in there piquing my interest. Sam Summer is mediocre, there's nothing wrong with either BL or the Kolsch but nothing to get excited about either. And even though I haven't had Cherry Wheat or Noble Pils in a while I'd rather buy those separately.

Probably going to end up with the Magic Hat summer box just for the novelty of the elderberry and dandelion beers.

Wait a tic, what the hell happened to Wacko? Magic Hat you bastards!

Wacko needed to die, and the Magic Hat summer box is actually solid all the way around. The dandelion beer is actually really good. I'm also hearing good things about their new big bottle imperial pils. Is there a new brewmaster over at Magic Hat shaking things up?

Summer pack? its halfway through spring.
You should all be gearing up for the Fall by pack by now...

Gotta admit that I didn't expect Wacko back. It was the beer equivalent of the '87 Crown Vic my dad used to drive. Just ignore the gas leak, the oil leak, the exhaust leak, the broken windows, the 13 miles/gallon (highway) and the fact that it turned like an aircraft carrier, it was roomy and comfortable! Just so many things wrong but I couldn't help loving it.

I actually saw a 12 pack the other day of Noble Pills at the local store dated to July 2012, they maybe harder to find but they are out there
