I plan on going to San Antonio next month and was wondering what good bars are available downtown (river walk) that have the best selection. Plan on going to freetail as well. Will post trade requests in the trade section incase anyone is intreasted. Thanks in advance

Thanks, any local shops that might sell freetail?

As of right now Freetail is only available at Freetail. Should change come late August or September. Where you coming from?

Thanks for the responses guys. I'm in Houston and was hoping to find some of there speciality brews. Hopefully will get some responses to my ISO post for trades or they could be on shelves by the time I get there? Always enjoy the brewery.

I wouldn't expect any specialty brews but more like their canned year round beers. Unless you show up on 8/23.

    Why? What's on 8/23? :sunglasses:

Depending on when next month you'll be coming, there may be Freetail on the shelves (hopefully). They're going to have Bat Outta Helles, Soul Doubt, Freetail Ale, and Witicus available year-round. Their first seasonal, aiming for release next month if all goes well, will be Oktoberfiesta.

They typically have at least one or two beers available in bombers at the brewpub as well. They currently have Velocihoptor in stock, and it's very tasty. You could always bring growlers too.

I think you'd really be missing out if you didn't stop by the Granary Cue & Brew. It's not very far from the river walk, and frankly awesome BBQ and craft beer is hard to resist. As mentioned, the Friendly Spot is also a sweet place to check out. Solid Beer Garden with an impressive selection, also allows bottles to go.

    Witicus

And I second the Granary recommendation. I sometimes forget about it because it's so far out of my way, but it would be a very short trip from downtown and 100% worth the visit. It can hold it's own against Franklin's imo.

Look into Branchline Brewery. Small batch brewery on the northside. Solid offerings, nice IPA.
