My girlfriend is in S.A. right now for her sons Air Force graduation. Is there anything I can't get in Indiana that I can have her grab for me? I'm thinking big ass IPAs, barrel aged anything, Karbach, Saint Arnold? Also bottle shop recommendations would be appreciated.
Central Market had the following on Tuesday: Jester King Snorkel and Mad Meg 5 Stones - several including the new smaller format barrel aged beers Karbach - several six packs including Hop Delusion. Bomber of the black IPA St Arnold - they will have plenty. No sign of Art Car IPA cans (?) yet. Real Ale - Blakkr (must be getting old by now?), Gose, Kriek, and many others Freetail - several 6 pack varieties but not Yo Soy. A couple of the mainstay bombers (Witicus and ?). Might have some of the SMABRD bottles in there soon. If not, they will have them at Freetail's tasting room tonight. I didn't seen any Yellow Rose but there may be some around. They have Deschutes Jubel 2015. Other places to check: Gabriel's superstore on 1604. Specs on DeZavala.
Since she's going to Lackland, I'm assuming, its kind of seperated from any big bottle shops/liquor stores. There is a specs close to 410 if she is flying back close to the airport on Rector. I would second Gabriels on 1604 but that might be too far from her too. There is this little foodmart place called Northwest Foodmart that has about a 8ft wide wall with several different craft brews, including Jester King on N Military Hwy. Might also want to dry Whole Foods at the Quarry, I found some yellow rose there 2 weeks ago.

Oh man, in that case, she needs to hit up Jester King tomorrow to get you some Fen Tao. Some Karbach Rode Clown or Hopadillo is always good. There might still be some Vanilla BBH still here in the 'Tone too. Cheers to you and the great gf who's willing to do it for you! She's a keeper lol.
Tell her to go to the Freetail location downtown on Presa. They open at 4pm. The peach Berliner is awesome.
Sorry to bring this back around but my parents are down in San Antonio. Not real familiar with the Texas scene but anything that I should have them look for? Its easy to get them to mule me beer...gives them a good excuse to visit me...or vice versa...ha Big IPAs, Sours,...anything really. (I used search to find something more recent but this is what it showed)
