Hey everyone, I have a couple of quick questions I would appreciate some help with about San Antonio. I have family who will be in San Antonio for a few days and was going to try and have them grab some Texas beers for me while they are there. I don't want them to have to drive all over the city looking for stuff so I am trying to narrow it down to a stop or two. I am going to have them mainly look for Lone Pint (yellow rose) and Jester King beers (I'm sure there are tons of other great Texas breweries available, however they have a limited amount they can carry so I had to narrow it down to those two). My question is are these readily available at liquor stores in San Antonio? I have tried searching online but wasn't able to come up with much. If so, any ideas which ones? Big Hops Growler Station has yellow rose on tap, however bottles would be much easier for them to manage. Any can't miss bottle shops in San Antonio? Any help would be much appreciated. Your family should go to Specs on De Zavala Rd. They just received Yellow Rose and some Jester King (Mad Meg & Le Petit Prince) yesterday.
Specs DeZavala and Gabriel's on 1604/blanco are the best selection. Both just got Yellow Rose and have limited JK. I think you can find Das Wunderkind on the shelf too. Saw it at the Whole Foods by the Gabriel's yesterday.
Specs DeZavala just sold out of Yellow Rose, but Gabriel's should still have some. You should call first before making the drive. Good luck.
