I'll be at the VIP Brewer Takeover on Friday night (11/4) and the Guild Fest the next day. Staying downtown Friday night. I haven't met any local BA's; hollar if you want some big galoot to share a beer with.

You have to pay in order to post your events to that website. Yes the money goes to a good cause (the brewers guild) but with all of this social media and newsletters a lot of the events never really get there.

That being said I am keeping it light this year for myself so -
    Friday - SDBW bottleshare kick-off
Saturday - Anniversary - staying home and cracking some bottles and trying to be all cute with the better half
Sunday - Alesmith just because...skipping the library sale but drinking all the beers
Monday - Bottleshare with some out-of-towners at my place
    Tuesday - Cheesesmith
Wed - Grand Prix and Tyson's Big Ass Barrel Night
    Thur - Grand Prix
    Fri - Grand Prix
Sat - BAVSS release party and AHA rally at Stone Liberty Station
Sun - asking myself why I did this to my liver again

Good to know. I have the good fortune of going to Abnormal on 11/12 and was wondering if anything would pop up on that site. Not that I need anything special as I hear Abnormal is phenomenal!

Ill be down around SD on Saturday ... Anything interesting that day? The wife and I are really just going down there to hang on the beach in the morning, but planned on hitting a few spots in the afternoon.

This coming one (11/5) ... I saw the festival is happening that day, but we dont have time for that one. And I know not all of the events are on the Website, but we were hoping to hit Small Bar for breakfast and then the beach and then somewhere else. Looks kind of slim on Saturday other than the O'Briens event with the sours maybe?

This was awesome last year for sure. Got a good crowd though so the wait for donuts was a bit long.

Reaper, you got an extra spot for Monday's bottle share?

I'm trying to avoid all the driving out far to other breweries so my current setup looks something like this: I'm skipping the Speedway Grand Prix this year because the flavors just keep getting stranger and stranger. I may just end up hitting up some other local breweries on Friday or even Wednesday. I'll probably stop by one of the days of the grand prix to see what they have on tap for purchase that is special because they usually add something fun.

    Tuesday 11/8 - Election Night
Coffee nutella imperial porter at Abnormal (leaning towards this one)
    Barrel aged showcase at Mikkeller
Also new IPA release at Pure Project.

    Wednesday 11/9
Big Barrel Aged Beer Night - O'Briens

    Thursday 11/10
Fieldwork tap takeover - O'briens (leaning towards this)
Coffee beers and donuts at Mikkeller

    Friday - Nothing yet

    Saturday 10/12
Barrel aged beer day at Duck Foot (really excited about their BA Imperial Stout
Barrel aged beer day at New English (Gotta get that BA Zumbar)

    Sunday 10/13
Beer and donuts/cookies pairing at Pizza Port OB 10AM
Beer and Donut Pairing at Benchmark - 11AM
IPA collab between Pure Project and Modern Times Release
Haven't decided which event I'm going to do but the Pizza Port might win it out.

Any events that are dog-friendly and recommended? We've been wanting to drive down to SD from OC either this Sunday or next weekend and was planning to bring the pup for a day out.

You're in luck there are two. Last Sunday modern times is having a dog thing and there's a lagunitas night at skaters that promotes as dog friendly

Other than that you should not bring your dog to dog friendly tasting rooms during a beer week event. Too crowded, would not be good stress wise for pooches nor for people worrying about stepping in your dog

They are doing another sour event at Plan 9 Alehouse as well according to my friend. Those are usually awesome and they bring out a lot of bottles that they don't mark up a ridiculous amount.

What's a good source for styro shippers in the La Jolla/Del Mar area? BevMo, or a wine shop?

Same question, but for the Downtown, North Park or Ocean Beach areas.

If anyone is going to Alesmith today and needs more coffee beers, you should stop by Mikkeller for the triple coffee weasel brunch that they had on yesterday for their coffee beers and donuts event. It is a serious coffee bomb. Barrel aged brunch was good too but not up to the same level.
