Sorry for another Alpine thread... I'm on my phone and not patient enough to search through a bunch of threads. We are on our way south and were hoping to hit Alpine but it's closed. Any thoughts on where we can go to maybe snag some bottles anyway? Thanks

Bine & Vine (Normal Heights) is fairly consistent, but they typically don't have a ton.

I've seen them @ Olive Tree (Ocean Beach) & Best Damn Beer shop (Downtown) as well.

Good luck. Hoping to hit Alpine this week...

Check the Alpine website, they list some of the shops that get their beer from a distributor, but it's definitely hit-or-miss. No one gets very much, and it usually sells quickly. There are 3 liquor stores in Alpine that get it directly from the brewery, but same story. Not much, sells quickly. Good luck!

I can all but confirm that Olive Tree and BDBS don't have any Alpine right now, just from knowing their stocking routines.

Bine and Vine is probably your best bet but it's surely not a guarantee.

Was in both early last week. Olive Tree had Duet, but I'd assume it's gone by now, and Bine and Vine had Captain's Stout, Mandarin Nectar, Alpine Ale, and one other. I think it was either Willy or Red.

If you're looking to just drink it, O'brien's and Toronado pretty regularly have at least one on tap. Nelson seems to be around a lot lately.

    Pure Hoppiness.

Bine & Vine is very good about updating the TapHunter bottle list:

Beverages 4 Less in Santee usually has it as well; in fact I think they receive more than any other direct account.

Bev-4-Less can suck it. Don't do business with Freddie.

I say drive out to Alpine. Guaranteed you'll get the big boys. Today they had everything but Duet in bottles, but I think a lot of people were there for something else.

    Cheers....

Texas liquor in Carlsbad and Holiday Wine cellar in Escondido get them on occasion and blow threw them like the wind.
