L.A., O.C., and the Bay Area have similar threads. Inconceivably, S.D. does not. Use this thread to post information or ask questions about places that serve beer but aren't breweries.

I was prompted to create this thread just to share the mouth-watering taplist they have right now at SD Taproom:

Urge Oceanside has a few Green Cheek beers on tap from last week's dinner - pale lager and NE IPA. Worth checking out for those who haven't made it up to the OC for Green Cheek. Velvet Speedway also still on

Anyone who's been to a previous Renaissance have any tips on when's the best time to go, and what manner of shitshow to anticipate?

The sunday after...no shitshow at all, but not all offerings are still on.

It use to be an overnight, someone rents a large uHaul truck and there is a share and then ppl pass out, but that has since stopped. I would get there roughly an hour early and that should get you in to the first wave. They are typically pretty good at crowd controlling so that their servers don't get overwhelmed. Usually let in 15-20ppl, get them seated, servers take drink orders, let in next group, etc..etc..etc...

Where would I find 6 or 12 btl shippers around North Park? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Is an hour before early enough? Hell of a tap list.

How fast is Pliny the Younger expected to kick? I’ll be in San Diego for the weekend, was thinking I’ll stop by Churchill’s for lunch on Sunday but if PtY is manageable on Saturday afternoon I could revise plans.

It is typically one of the first kegs to kick. As for how longer, I couldn't give you even estimates since I tend to go sunday or else monday for the leftovers. So I only ever hear during those meals what kicked and in what order.

Any recommendations for a good restaurant with a solid taplist in DOWNTOWN SD??? Just I just not over think it and hit Resident / The Local for that winning combo of food and beer??? Thanks!

If you aren't looking for super fancy then Resident / The Local would be my suggestion. Neighborhood is also a solid choice. Or you could check out The Bellmaker.

I just did Modern Times and a California burrito from Coaxitan (or whatever that place is called), so I definitely don't require fancy

Yes just go to The Local. Full selection of Resident beers in the back and plenty of guest taps at the main bar. The food is good. I heard Bellmaker is just okay at this point.

I’m in San Diego for the weekend and headed to Churchill’s tomorrow. Anyone happen to have CFH extra tickets and/or have two tickets and need a proxy?

I'm always pimping Churchill's on here, but right now they have Other Half DDH Citra Daydream + beers from J. Wakefield, Civil Society, LIC Beer Project, and Grimm. Treat yo'self.
