I think I read there are over 100 breweries in San Diego, so with a visit planned in a couple months, my death by beer is imminent.

I'll have 3 full days in which to consume beer, and I'll be using ride share services so location-wise, I'm wide open.

When I'm trying to maximize like this, I like to grab a flight at each place and move on. I am capable of hitting 9-10 a day. And drinking plenty of water with the beer helps.

All this being said, with so many breweries I'm struggling with finding any "ale trail" style maps of neighborhoods/districts where I can bounce around quickly.

I found this one from 2018, but I was wondering if anyone had any more/others/different ones. Cheers!

Also this one is pretty decent. But gotta scroll in weird to get everything in the area (ex. I could see Pure Project and Ballast Point on the map but Alesmith didn't populate until I scrolled in close, not sure why).

Alesmith is so far out the damned way from everything that even with ride sharing it sucks.
There may be 100 breweries but unless you LOVE IPA to death They're all pretty much the same.

I suggest Alemisth,Eppig and the Ballast Point Homebrew mart( they have a tap list of about 25 or so beers and a lot of them are things you'll only find in that one shop)

Out of the way - yeah. But also amongst a ton of other breweries.

You can do a nice little loop (which I have done on a number of occasions), Alesmith -> Pure -> Ballast for pint and grub -> Lost Cause/Serpentine -> Mikkeller -> Harland.

Plenty of other places along the way though. I keep trying to figure out how to get New English into that mix but it has proven rather difficult.

I always do Ballast Point but their Homebrew spot cuz its quiet
Almost went to pure but their taplist was all stuff i wasnt into ,buncha pastry stout crap, same with mikeller and serpentine.
One thing i regret not going to pure to try on tap was the forgotten brilliance though. On my next trip i will go for that and forest of giants

I should disclose that i have a huge preference for non adjuncted Imperial Stouts( i know speedway has coffee)and san diego is probably the wrong place for me.

It's heaven for people that love ipas around 6-7% for sure though!

Here's 10 along the 78 & Palomar Airport Rd and ending up in Oceanside along the coast.

    Stone>Wild Barrel>Lost Abbey>Rip Current>Epigg>Pure Project>Rouleur>Burgeon>Pizza Port (Downtown)>Bagby.

You can definitely switch some out but just based this off a driving route.

Come on David/Burrito Reaper, not too bad of a trip from alesmith so i'd say go to new english first. I suppose it's not that much of a big deal to me if centralized within the area of both locations.

Yeah, I need to start there...it just seems like they had later opening hours for a while so it ended up not working out when I wanted to start around 11 and finish by 4.
