I am visiting the zoo tomorrow, any good beer places to hit in the area? We are staying at Mission Bay. Plan on hitting a few of the breweries this week, but was wondering what is close to the zoo. Sitting on the deck drinking a Figeroa Mountain Pale Ale deciding on which breweries will be visited this week.
Brass Rail is legit. Just head north towards university and you'll be near Toronado, Tiger Tiger, and a few other places.
I did a write up on the zoo, and beer there, about a month ago at http://sandiegobeerinsider.com/zoo/. I've also got reviews of most major breweries, brewpubs, and beer bars through the drop down menu "Get Beer", and I tag posts by neighborhood if you use the Categories menu at the bottom of the right side-bar. Where are you visiting from?
