I am taking a trip to San Diego at the end of June and would like some recommendations for breweries, bottle shops, and liquor stores that have great beer and selections. I am definitely planning on going to the regular breweries like Stone and Ballast Point. I enjoy all types of beer from the really hoppy IPAs to the very sour and barrel aged brews. I am driving down from San Francisco so any recommendations on that route would be much appreciated as well. Thanks!
If I am staying on the border of Little Italy/Gaslamp can I Uber to Greenflash or would it be deemed too far. I'd like to knockout Greenflash, Ballast Point, and Alesmith at once. Thanks.
Too far by what standard? The driver won't have any problem with that and it's not outside of Uber's San Diego service area or anything. It won't be a cheap ride, but you won't have any problem getting back and forth.
That's going to be one expensive ass Uber ride. If you wanted to cut down on the cost you could take the Coaster/Surfliner up to the Sorrento Valley station and then Uber from there (not sure of Uber driver prevalence in that area though).
If you have the uber app installed on your phone I think on androids you can pull up the maps app, put in the starting/end points and like the "walk, drive, mass transit" selections there will be a U selection as well that gives the pricing for the ride.
it'll be less than $30. Unless you hit some monster traffic. I think around $22-24. I usually stay in north county and go to DTsan diego via uber when I'm in for work and it's around that price. Not worth the hassle of jumping on trains etc at that price. edit: I just went on the fare estimate, from little italy to green flash it's 22-30. But there shouldn't be much traffic, so it should be on the lower range.
Just don't travel much further north, otherwise you will have to deal with the fair traffic...which has been damn awful the past couple of days.
I just did an Uber estimate for you, and it said $22-30. It'll all depend on what day and time you decide to make that trip. I may be willing to help out a fellow Pitt fan if it involves a pint and a little Pitt BSing.
