There's plenty of top notch beer between SF and RR, too.

    The proper name is "Frisco".

Eat at Scoma's near the wharf or in Sausalito and get the cioppino - one of the best meals I've ever had.

He won't even make it here by the 9th on a cow anyway. I recommend Sun King Brewery in Indiana.

I'm calling BS on this. I grew up on Bay Area rap, and SF was always referred to as Frisco and even "San Fran", "Sco" and "SFC". I know plenty of people that grew up in SF (I'm like 30 mins away) that call it Frisco and the like. Granted, Its kind of an urban thing, but it came out of The City not from outsiders.

But ya, I hate when people put emphasis on FRAN. Sucka Free City would even work.

I've been in the Bay Area for pushing a half-century and my parents were SF natives and so were their parents. They always took offense to it, believing anyone who said it was saying it to start a fight. The only people l've met that didn't care were either young or not from the region, the latter seemingly being the majority around here for the last two decades or so. Like l said before, I still can't believe people give a shit. Call it whatever you want. As long as you don't call San Jose "San Josey" (it is pronounced, "Sanizay", duh.). That is offensive.

I'm sure your parents aren't fans of RBL Posse or JT The Bigga Figga Figga either.

But ya, you're right I don't get why people care what it's called, especially since plenty of people from there call it by these names their supposed to be offended by.

My parents aren't fans of them, no, but Gramma is quite a fan JT The Bigga Figga Figga ("Oh, indeed, that young man bring da' thump, yo!". Of course, her highest rated beer here is St. Ides High Gravity Malt Liquor...).
