Heading to San Fran for work next week and will have a night to spend in the Union Square area. Whatever the best beer bars or breweries around there?

Mikkeller Bar is my favorite in the area. If you open to a 15-20 minute walk, you can hit Cellarmaker.

Yes x3. With only one night you need to hit up all 3 (especially Cellarmaker), but you don't need any others.

Hopwater Distribution usually has a really solid tap list and tasty food.

I agree with the big 3 people mention ( Cellarmaker, Bartlett Hall, Mikkeller ) but I'd only add that when you go to Cellarmaker, make sure and walk one more block to City Beer Store.

They only have 10 taps but being one of the original places in the SF beer scene, they get some rare/exclusive kegs AND they have a bunch of cans/bottles for you to consume or take back with you.

    As others have mentioned..

Cellarmaker + City Beer (1 block away from Cellarmaker) for great selection and good to-go options (growlers/bottles/cans)

How do you even survive without a happy hour? Cheap appetizers, couple bucks off pints of beer.....just madness to not have that. MADNESS!!!

Oh! I was there on Friday and they didn't have that beer. They only had Farval (hazy WC) and West Coast Juicer (WC/NE hybrid). I should probably trek on over this week. Everyone better jump on Bartlett for the time that's left, before Wynn's beers are gone. (*cough* @KevSal )
