Hey, sorry if I missed it, but does anyone know why SFBW is starting 2 weeks later than usual this year? Just curious.
Something about some sportsball events happening during the early part of February was the reason I heard. However, Pliny the Younger is still being released early Feb, which means Toronado is still doing events around that, and looks like The Bistro ipa fest is also during the traditional early Feb beer week time frame. So looks like we'll get a Beer Month instead of just the usual week and a half.
Works for me this year. I will be on vacation the first week of February. Usually make 2-3 events a year across the SF Bay Area.
Ahh that makes sense. Well, sorta. And you already answered my follow up question since I was crossing my fingers Toro would be business as usual when I'm down there.
I looked up The Bistro DIPA fest and wow that sounds like quite a time. Any other events that happen that traditional Feb 6-10 Fri/sat? @Dimidiata
That's superbowl weekend, and looks like Toronado is holding events every day starting Feb 7 which usually involve tapping a new keg of Pliny the Younger every morning and then some sort of theme for the evening. The Bistro event is pretty big and crowded, but if IPA is your thing, its a good one to go to. Don't bother standing in the PtY line, just go to Toro.
First group of activities have been posted: https://sfbeerweek.org/activities Has anyone been to Paulista whether in past SF Beer Weeks or in general? I might try to go to the February 23rd Cerebral Tap Takeover.
Well, SF Beer Week starts this weekend. Unfortunately, I will this weekend and will probably miss attending any events. Not as many in the South Bay that I would gone away (also San Carlos is not in the South Bay). Oh well, anyone hitting up one or more of the events. Need someone to live through...
