Sorry. I’m in San Diego and don’t know the San Jose area. But I just wanted to applaud you for the Larry avatar. The car pool episode is Shakespearean. And it saved a homeboy from a murder charge because the episode proved that he was at the Dodgers game and couldn’t have committed the crime.
I would look at the following breweries: Clandestine (Note: Their 12th Anniversary Celebration is this Saturday, June 6th). Narrative Fermantations Fox Tale Fermentation Project I haven't been to Fox Tale Fermentation, but it's getting a lot of PR lately (Triple D and a local PBS Food Show).
I stay downtown frequently: Narrative is solid but no food outside of foodtrucks Foxtale if open on your days is solidly in the good and “different” category Good Karma has a solid list and good vegan food Market Beer has a strong selection Whole Food’s taproom is actually really strong and has house beers
