I've got some colleagues that are going to be in the San Jose area in a couple weeks and they're gonna try and find me some Pliny. Any advice on what days of the week are the best to snag some? How about bottle shops? Which shops are the best bets of finding some Pliny? Any help is much appreciated!
Unless they plan to somehow get a hand fill from Pliny on draft, Pliny is a rarity in these parts. They honestly would have a better chance heading into San Francisco or Santa Rosa(the RR brewpub) to find some, where in which they get it about every 10 days in SF and everyday at the RR pub.
You might be in luck, South Bay gets one shipment a month, normally third Wednesday or Thursday of the month. Whole Foods gets their shipment on Wednesdays usually.
Bad news. Russian River has gotten even more strict with bottle allocations. There are now dye packs that explode if the bottles are exposed to the pressure of an airliner cargo hold. Sorry.
