I'm pretty sure BA Torpedo was a brewery only release. I happened to be at The Torpedo Room in Berkeley the day of the release so I was able to snag one (limit 1,$25). I suggest you try to set up an in person trade with someone willing to part with theirs .

 

If you are driving from San Mateo to Orinda (or vice versa), the Torpedo Room is on the way, just a two exit detour up 80.

 

San Mateo huh, awesome. I need to know, what would bring you to this town?

Anyway I'm from San Mateo, if u have time for a beer check out the grape and grain, usually a really good tap list. San Mateo has a bevmo that is across a bit to a whole foods, both with decent selections. Going south a bit gets you to gourmet haus stadt and ale arsenal. Highly recommend AA, both with tap list and bottle selection. 2 towns south of San Mateo.

Like andrewk mentioned the torpedo room is on the way to and from both locations.

 

If you travel through SF (which is 1 of 2 likely routes) then you have endless possibilities. Cellarmaker, city beer store, Toronado, etc.....

And the BA torpedo is only available in the Torpedo Room (Berkeley), or Chico.
