Just got a Groupon deal for this place. I've never even heard of it till now. Anyone care to share their experience with this brewery?

Typical mediocre new brewery with a lot of goofball beers.

Not sure if you've ever really spent any time in Pomona before, so I guess I'll add:

It's the old Pomona Packing Plant building, which is actually really cool. It's split up amongst a handful of businesses, so it's not super shady, but it's honestly not in the greatest area either. The downtown area of Pomona is a lot better than it used to be as well (1st-3rd between Garey and Towne). The Rookery is pretty decent and dba256 can have some decent beers on tap. I also always try to grab something to eat at Tacos Jalisco (on Mission, just eat of White) when I'm in the area.

I went and redeemed my Groupon last night. Here's my report:

Tasted 6 brews. @womencantsail was right about the goofball brews, but they're not terrible. Tangeronimo was actually interesting and enjoyable. They are a mediocre startup brewery at the moment I suppose... but two brews stood out to me.

Their "award winning" Belgian dubbel Deus Vult. It was an above average dubbel. I was impressed.

OMNI hop - their DIPA with citra hops. It's not at the level of Noble's or Kern's and probably not Pizza Port's Citra R'ama, but it's definitely better than Flying Dog's version.

These two brews were totally worth the trip alone. Especially the OMNI. Unfortunately, they said they're almost out of it and won't be brewing it again anytime soon because of the demand for citra hops. They do have a single IPA fermenting at the moment and expect to keg it by Halloween weekend.

One major drawback, IMO, was the fact that they had four different blonde ales on tap. They were all unique and distinct from each other (one was hoppy, one brewed with chai, one was straight up apple cider), but still... they need to brew more variety (and prob bigger) beers in order to break into the scene.

Overall, I'm glad I got to check the place out. I'd recommend a stop by if you happen to be visiting friends that attend the colleges there, or heading towards the Rookery.
