One/half is pretty amazing for 6%.

Yep, excellent. Beers can be under 10% with no tose and still be very good. I don’t think Sand City has made an IPA that is not a collab that has the tose, I hope they don’t start. Good ole fashioned straight up IPAS.

Yes they did, the week before this week on Monday I believe, I was going to grab cans but I was away for work that week.

Hmmmm....there’s a coffee barleywine on their tap board right now. Interesting.

Definitely. I doubt I’ll try a glass due to the ABV and the requirement of going back to work but ill definitely have a can while cooking dinner tmrw night.

I caved and am having a 5 oz at the brewery. Initial impression is a coffee-forward american barleywine (very hoppy, not smooth like an English style). Not getting much bourbon but after second look the beer is not BBA, the coffee is. I can see the bourbon coming into play more as it warms up.

Id give it 89/100 right now. Definitely worth a pick up. Going to get 8 cans and age some. I prefer my barleywines with some age on them.

The barleywine is much smoother out of the can compared to the pour I had earlier. Soooo good.

So Choice is amazing. A welcome change from the chicken broth/creamy haze beers their last couple DIPAs have been (ha, not that I’m complaining that much). Melon presence on top of some serious dank. Awesome.

I think you all know I’m the biggest SC fanboy out there but I’m hoping this is a one-off.
