    Anybody home?

Tuned In excellent, dank smell, dry and juicy. So happy days of Sunday lines long gone and can get these beers at will.

2 months with no posts here! Looks like Sand City getting back in Sunday line business with Roots collaboration and pre 4th anni beer tomorrow

Honestly I have been extremely underwhelmed by their beer lately. I’m not sure if its palate fatigue but all their IPAs have been pretty run of the mill and some even had this unpleasant burn on the backend.

Maybe I’m a loser with a noob palate, but I’ve still been enjoying their beers. Loved both the Understand It Be Flava and the new Secret Spot Hemlock Cove. Looking forward to trying to the two new releases from today. Solid turnout but line went super smoothly

Tuned In was awesome and got better with time, Flava was ok in beginning but tasting awesome now, at first had a plasticy taste but that went away. Collab really good, like the others I expect it to get better with time.

You are definitely not, but the fact you waited in line could be cause for concern !

Ok the new collab with Finback is awesome. Got there as soon as my 4 pack was canned. Gonna save a few to see how it progresses but it is damn near perfect right now.

Yeah, drinking one now. Amazing. The Nelson in this is very tasty. They usually do a great job on Nelson and this is no exception. A bit green I think, but pretty solid right out the box.

Yea my thinking as well. It’s right on the line of being too fresh but its really good to begin with. Can’t wait to see how it is in 2 weeks.

Also grabbed a 4 of the Oktoberfest. I’ll be trying that next. Plenty of baseball and football to watch tonight. Gotta stay hydrated.

Totally agree, green, will get better like almost all Sand City beers.

I recently got a can of the collab w/ Root + Branch from a friend. Anyone drink one recently? Opinions? Really enjoyed the 2 beers I've had from R+B, as well as Hemlock Cove and the the most recent Guttersnipe release from SC.

This batch of 2 is awesome as well. There is a nice malt backbone which shows up underneath all of the cantaloupe/mango flavors which is very much appreciated in this day and age.

And now for my next review: the Oktoberfest.

More of a festbier (lighter SRM grain bill) than a Marzen, which each have their time and place. More biscuit/cracker than caramel. Light floral hoppiness on the back with lingering bitterness.

Overall very good. And yes, I am drinking on the train at 1125.

Agree, Two was better than One. One was too astringent. I was expecting more maltiness from the Octoberfest given the slightly higher abv. It was ok. I loaded up on the Finback collab which was awesome.

4th anni beer is an IPA coming in at 12%! I love Sand City, but no thanks to this one, ridiculous ABV for IPA.
