Nothing overly interesting going on now but I figured I’d get this thread going anyway. Best Seat, a IV variant, Tafelbier and the OG Oops cans are all available right now.

What I really want to know is when their Lindenhurst outpost will open. Hoping it's this Summer. No posts to the Sand City South IG feed since mid-November. :cold_sweat:

If it’s a brewery opening on Long Island, I would, unfortunately, bet the over on opening dates.

Ugh. The only SC beers I've had within the past year are single cans of Guttersnipe, Secret Spot Hemlock Cove, and the collab with R + B, all had at gatherings or gifted by friends. :slight_frown:

If root and branch's progress is any indication, look out for opening day of both of these spots sometime during summer of 2035

Ooh. I'll actually be up in the Northport area all day on the 25th. Hope some of those bock cans last. Even if not, I'll try to pop anyway. Probably one of only a few times I'll be up that way in 2020.

Thanks for the offer, but I'm going to be really busy this weekend so wouldn't have a chance to meet up. I'm already in your debt anyway for the R + B beers.

Report back, if you don’t mind. I’m probably gonna go buy it anyway but it’d be nice to get some intel.

I don’t know what a good bock should taste like, will leave the expert opinion to someone who has “bock” in their user name, but this is very enjoyable, nice change of pace from IPAs.

I didnt get a chance to go again today. I had to work in BK. I did get a chance to check out Folksbier though. Great spot and the beers were very good. Will definitely revisit soon.

Was able to make a hit and run visit Sunday afternoon. Picked up 4-packs of Winterzeit and the DIPA collab with Barrier, Fashionably Early. I'm sure both will be solid at least (how could a SC/Barrier beer be bad?), but has anybody tried either (or both) and have some thoughts to share? Thanks.

I’ve had 2 cans of my Winterzeit and it’s solid. I had high expectations and they didn’t quite get reached. It’s certainly not bad but I’m happy I only got 1 4-pack.
I split a 4 of the Barrier collab so I haven’t tried it yet but I got a full 4 of the LIC collab, so I had my first can yesterday and it hit the spot. Citric and soft and dare I say a bit of that melon dank that gets talked about in the OH thread.
