Anyone slightly underwhelmed with this batch of Second Wave cans? Don't get me wrong: it's still good, but the last two batches I had were outstanding. Is my palate off or am I onto something?

Nope I agree. Not as top caliber as the last batch I had but then again its so hard to compare beers over time. Still fantastic though.

Grabbed some beachglass today and went golfing at twighlight with some cans. Fuck me I should have bought more. Really good.

Ran up to SC to grab a few 4s of Beachglass for the weekend (I had no low abv stuff in the house) and had 2 of them straight from the can at a party today....delicious stuff. Lots of flavor. Can't wait to go to Gilgo tomorrow with a 4 of that and a 6 of Warsteiner pils cans (perfect summer beer IMO).

When do they normally do can releases?
Have off work tomorrow and was going to make the drive down for at least some growlers

No set schedule, but a Monday would be highly unlikely.

I usually love Even Mo Mofo, but got a growler fill and it was incredibly boozy, drain poured most of it.

I've had real problems with bad cans of Even Mo Mofo, only issue I've ever had with SC.

Yesterday was a slow day at work so I had my trainee drive up to Sand City to buy me some cans. Washed Up is tasting as good as ever. Up there with Second Wave as my favorite regular offering from them. Stranded cans are...not as good. Very equinox-heavy and I'm getting a slight buttery note on the nose and taste.

Right..get the trainee to do the heavy lifting. Hope you offered to give them a can or two though, otherwise they may have grounds to report you to the state or county for workplace abuse.

Social media teases by SC indicating possibly an Ooops Mangoed coming real soon. Hopefully tomorrow.

Caption on Instagram reads "Should have an official announcement about this weekend by tomorrow." Sunday release, maybe?

For those who had both Oops Mango and Power Source, how do they compare?

Saw that after my post. Their weekend release has always been on Sundays.

As someone visiting from out of town and leaving tomorrow, it would be cool if some sort of cans came out today. Even if it not mango. I liked the brewery the first time I went last year.

I'm almost sure they still have Southdown stout cans available. One of my favorite stouts period.

I prefered Oops better as it was just a smoother beer without any of that mango "bite".
