Recently received my included "welcome" beers from 2014 Bruery reserve society. Noticed the bottle of Sans Pagaie was dated March 2013. Is this the only available bottling of this beer or did they brew a more recent batch? Any info would be really appreciated, Thanks!
It's last years batch. The next batch will be ready in June according to the website (http://www.thebruery.com/reservesociety/2014.html). I haven't tried the one I got, sounds like a good one!
I find it kind of odd that they included a 2013 bottle with this year, as that bottle has not been available in the tasting room for many months. As for bottlings of Sans Pagaie There was also 2012 batch that does not have a year on the label.
The Bois is last year anniversary beer. My guess is that they just wanted to get rid of some beers they had in inventory. To be honest, I'm not complaining, I think these beers will be awesome with a year on them.
Again I find the Bourbon Bois as a strange one, because they put all of the other variants for sale multiple times last year for the society members. Bourbon was almost always missing from the line up. Oh well they must have a plan.
Thanks guys. Just wanted to make sure my trustee didn't kick me an older batch, intentionally or otherwise.
Last year, they included Otiose in the original package which was from the prior year as well. The big difference this year is that Sans Pagaie and Bois are actually good.
