I know, search the database! I did. Nothing really jumped out at me. There are a few breweries. Didn't see a highly rated beer bar. Some of the places have not been reviewed in awhile. So . . .

I will be in Santa Fe the first week of August. I'd like to hear your recommendations for Santa Fe? I would prefer not to drive to Albuquerque, but is there a can't miss place in that city?

I didn't go to any bars... but I was amazed by the selection at Susan's Wine & Liquor. Same plaza as Whole Foods Market there if you're looking for bottles to take home.

Hit Marble, Santa Fe Brewing and Second Street. There's also Blue Corn, but I didn't like them that much. Thunderbirds had a nice tap selection including several La Cumbre brews. It's worth going to ABQ for La Cumbre and Marble (much better offerings at the ABQ location than in SF).

The only good place I could find in Santa Fe was the Marble Tap Room that overlooks the plaza. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of high gravity beers. I am not sure if the have the same selection in the summer, but it is definatley a cool place to go in a city pretty much devoid of good beer bars.

We really enjoyed Taos Mesa Brewing... It's right by the Rio Grande Gorge bridge a little outside of town. Eskes is the other brewery. It was okay too.

Pretty sure you can get La Cumbre in Santa Fe now, so I would suggest loading up on fresh Elevated IPA.

Kudos to you, young Jedi. Drives me crazy when BAs post "where to go" threads without even checking the directory. Sometimes I think the bros might just as well not have bothered. Ditto the people who go to the trouble to post reviews of beer establishments.

FYI if you're looking for Elevated IPA the only place I could find it in Santa Fe was the Sprouts location there...

Whole Foods had plenty in cans when I was there. Thunderbirds had it on tap.

Yeah I don't get the love Blue Corn get now. I talk to a few people that love it now, but I am still not to fond of it.

The Santa Fe Brewing Company for great local beer and a very laid back vibe.

Looking for liquor stores with nice selctions: Kelly's/Liquor Barn off Cerrillos Road & Susan's Fine Wine & Spirits off St. Francis.

    Cheers!

Marble taproom on the plaza. Duel Brewing just opened last week. Belgian beers. I had two of their beers at winterbrew. I though they were quite good but I am no Belgian expert. I have not been there yet myself and could not tell you where they are located. Just another idea. If I remember correctly the last time I was at Marble they had LC Elevated on guests tap. Santa Fe brewing does not have a great tap room and they are on I-25 on the way into town. But if you're seeking local SF craft beer there are not many choices and SFBC is worth a trip then. SFBC should also be avail in any store there as well. Widely distributed across the state.

    Update - santa Fe.
Santa Fe brewing - indeed a nice vibe- terrific flight of all ten taps 2oz each for $8. Picked up pale ale 6 pack as most everybody else was doing and am not disappointed.
Whole foods- elevated with a sticker saying canned 7/20. Also 1 block away is maria's.
Marble - conversation with bartender was no bueno. Would like my growler filled with marble ipa but unable to because of open container law. We can sell you our growler and use electrical tape. Great, I replied, you can tape my growler. No sir, we can't! Don't know about you but it irritates me.
    More to follow.

What they fuck was the bartender talking about about. I go to Marble here in Alb and get grolwers filled everytime. Growlers for anywhere and never had a single issue from them. That sucks man.
