I've been drinking Firestone Walker's new Pivo Pils and really enjoyed their take on the style. On the bottle it says its brewed with sapphire hops. What other beers are using sapphire? What is so unique about them?

(I know Beck's has a beer brewed with sapphire, thanks to their marketing campaign. I have no interest in trying that one.)

    beer pils, huh?
I've used them before, they're basically hallertauer hersbrucker with just a touch of citrus. If I remember correctly they were made to be similar to the hallertauer but more resistant to diseases.
Not a bad hop though, I've brewed a couple pale ales with them. subtle and herbal

Beck's Sapphire supposedly has them. And that beer is terrible.

Madhouse Maibock used them. I liked the citrus punch.

Olde Mecklenburg has used them in their Captain Jack Pilsner. The touch of citrus, especially in the nose, sets them apart from the Hallertauer. I, personally, think this character is a bit out of place in the style.
