Hope someone can help me out. Wondering the details for how SARA bottles work. I will be traveling in Northern CA in late Summer/early Fall and planning a stop. How do bottles to go work? What do they have, limits, etc.? I know that no one knows now what will be available then, just wondering for instance, how long does a batch of WA last, a day, a week? Limits per person? Their web site really doesn't say anything about bottles to go. What are average costs of bottles? Just looking for general info.

    Thanks

They post the tap/bottle list daily on Facebook and Instagram. How long things last and the bottle limits vary by beer. Usually $18-20/bottle

How long anything lasts and limits is going to vary depending on the release. Usually about $20 per.

Thanks. For reference, how long (ball park) did the last batch of WA last and also Appreciation?

Looks like West Ashley only lasted a day. What was leftover, they kept for in house only.

I had hoped to visit SARA, but that won't be happening. I assume their bottles aren't sold outside of the brewery? I will be in SF and also driving up past Beercraft. Any tips appreciated.

Thanks! Looks like I will have to get really lucky on the day I am there or try for a few IP trades in the Monterey/ SF Bay Area.

Beercraft probably still has bottles of Farmhouse Noir. If not... they will have plenty of other stuff that will make you nearly as happy...

@billf or anyone else who would like to chime in, I will be flying out to CA tomorrow and visiting SARA as I am staying in Santa Cruz tomorrow night. Any helpful hints for a fellow BA who has made her career craft beer as well? I love everything, especially sours.

Southern Sunrise is in-house only. Should be some there for you tomorrow hopefully.

You drive up today? When did they move to in house only?

wish you could have made it in today with Southern Sunrise bottles on, and I would have been happy to show you around the place too. Unfortunately there were not many bottles left over from the City Beer event and it sold out quickly, including the bottles set aside for in-house only. I am not sure if I will be in tomorrow (Wednesday), but ask who ever is pouring if I am around. Check Facebook and/or Instagram and everything that was on the board today is still available tomorrow, except Southern Sunrise bottles... ;(

A FB group I'm in. Guy was there today when they moved to in-house. He posted before 6 pm.

I had a nice visit to SARA but unfortunately no bottles were available. I did enjoy a couple of pints.
@billf I flew in from South Carolina on the 25th and was there that evening. Sorry I missed you!
