    Yep, hit Datz!! Probably 10-15 min drive with traffic between Datz and CCB. From CCB, you probably have an hour and a half drive down to Sarasota.

    That's a great plan since food trucks likely won't be there that early. It's probably 10 minutes from CCB to Datz (I live essentially between the two), which posts its beer menu live here. Ask the staff at Datz to point you to the eastbound Selmon/Crosstown Expressway (it's easy: head two blocks south of Datz, take a left and then a quick left under the overpass), which will dump you on to I-75 and put you on your way to Sarasota. (If you're not in a hurry when you return, take the more scenic I-275 drive over the Sunshine Skyway and through St Pete. But the expressway-to-75 will be quicker from Datz.)

    without traffic, it's 70 minutes tops to sarasota.

    Actually if he's on Lido, it could take closer to 90.
