Hi, A friend of mine is going to Saratoga next week on business and offered to get me some beer. Looking at seekabrew I came up with a list below. Would these be fairly available ? and where might she find them? Two things I always make sure to pick up when I'm up there is New England Brewing's Gandhi Bot, and also their Imperial Stout Trooper. Both fantastic brews available round those parts.
So NEBCO is readily available at EBI in saratoga then? I've seen it is rochester but it seems as though syracuse gets little to no NEBCO beer and I have yet to see it on tap anywhere here (have seen it on tap and in cans at several places in rochester, at coles in buffalo, and henry st in saratoga). Besides EBI, is Minougues (sp?) an ok stop? As for the original poster, I suggest you have your friend grab you a bottle or two of some saratoga lager and ipa, at least for nostalgia's sake. I think they are both solid beers and if your friend likes craft beer the old saratoga brewery taproom is a great stop IMO.
Bot sells the quickest but can be found in most bottle shops in the Capital District. 668, Sea hag, and IST are all generally available any time.
