I am going to be in these two cities over the next two weeks, and was wondering what places I should hit. Breweries, restaurants, etc. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers.

In the Groton area we have 3 breweries, Beer'd, Cottrell and Grey Sail and a few decent bars and stores

PM me if you want or need more info, I live in Ledyard and work in Groton

If you have access to a car and head a little ways south of Saugus, there are a few breweries you could stop at:

Victors Italian Express in Saugus is AMAZING. Very small, mostly for take out but the food is phenomenal. Go with the chicken, broccoli, ziti. It will change everything.

Head out towards RI and hit malted barley in westerly, they have a bunch of good beers and theyll fill up little mini kegs for you to have at your table which is a pretty cool little gimmick. If you are there on a saturday or friday you can stop by grey sail for growlers and tastings, their flying jenny is really good, and you could sit and talk with alan for hours, I've done it before. Beer'd is a cool place to check out and their brewer is a really cool guy too.
