    On to my blind review...

    The nose is almost that of an AAL. Beautiful color on this one. Big fizzy head recedes within seconds. First taste blew me away.! So complex. Apple, cranberry, wine barrel, cinnamon? Not as thin as I was expecting. Great body, but still not chewy. I gotta finish this so I can see what it is. My guess is blood from some sort of mythical beast. Centaur maybe??? I will be back with the reveal soon.

    Sadly, my good friend The Answer would not sell crowlers of stouts this week. I was devastated.. Really wanted to send you a few.

    That said just got to send you a few Veil, Triple Crossing and a few other Richnond brewry IPAs. Rest assured my friend, as soon as I can get The Answer stout crowlers,I will send.

    Dove into some of @FFFjunkie's ninja beers last night. First up, the obligatory blind taster.

    This had a head all the way to the top of the glass but it was so effervescent it was gone by the time I rounded the bar. I couldn't place the flavor at all, it was all over the place. I could see apricot, but also thought it might be a less sweet interpretation of like a key lime pie?? The wife went absolutely rogue on me and said a barrel aged tangerine sour. :grin:

    The verdict: Not even close hahaha. Now that I can place it, it's totally jalapeno. It pretty much overshadows the the rest and makes it hard to pick any one flavor out.

    Interesting to try, and I appreciate the opportunity, but I'm glad it was just the one. :grin:

    On to tonight! I'm diving into not-@FlintB's blind taster.

    Larger format, much more apparent style! I'm definitely thinking belgian quad, maybe barrel aged or higher ABV. Wife is thinking chocolate covered cherry stout though I'm fairly certain she's wrong.

    I'm gonna sip on this one for a minute before the reveal!

    Ha! I figured that be a hard beer to pin down.

    Truth be told I loved that beer and I drank more than one 4 pk.

    So this happened today courtesy of @LRS .

    Lisa, thank you for an awesome box full of all new ticks . I’m excited to start digging in! Be aware though that most of stouts will be saved for a DLD sharing .











    Oh, and that spicy jerky was excellent! I inhaled it all immediately.

    Thank you again Lisa. And you best watch yo ass, cause this homeboy reserves the right for retribution...

    My second Target's state and mine share a common recreational activity. Mine allows feet, bike, horseback, xc ski, snowshoeing and bicycling while yours only allows feet. I've been on both systems and it was the only time I've slept overnight in your state.

    A small, first box is on schedule to arrive tomorrow.
