So the reveal. Cloudy With A Chance of Charcuterie from Free Will, a NEIPA brewed with oats and milk sugar. I was close. The close examination of the can reveals a canned on date of 10/21/2018. I cannot believe this is more than a year old, nothing old.or stale about it. Matt, well done. I could swear you said I was familiar with the brewery, I am not.

 

For some reason I assumed you had tried Free Will! My bad. Their ipas tend to hold up well, so I’ve been thinking for awhile about doing an old ipa of theirs as a blind beer. I tried the same batch last month and also enjoyed it. It’s good to know that not every ipa dies after 90 days!

 

It makes me wonder what they are doing right (differently) that this IPA holds up so well after a year.

It says “savage gold” and it couldn’t be more appropriate for this group or for Matt who has pretty much sent a box to everybody this round.

 

Surprised it didn’t say Fake gold. I didn’t put my name on that!

That’s cool tho. I love when I can relate to what’s on the bottom of a can.

It makes me feel like it’s all for a bigger reason, a part of destiny.

 

Really tho the Con of Cans in Philly sent out beer like it was an actual career this round.

So today I sent a box out to California, only to come home to a box from California.

It seems @Snrubnivek just can’t stop!

Here’s the damage.


Founders- Mothership series BA Imperial stout (I’ve wanted to try this since I first saw it!)
Fort George- Waves of silence (imperial stout w/ nuts! & new brewery tick!)
Block 15- Sticky hands (another new brewery tick!)
Ruse- Sci-Fi Silhouette (yet another new brewery!)
Modern Times- BA Monsters Park Mexican Hot chocolate edition (big time wishlist beer & I was always hoping I’d get to try it!)
Great Notion- Juice Jr, Wake & Bake, DDH plump! (These sound great! & believe it or not, another new brewery tick!)
& last but not least Anchorage- Endless Ending (another wishlist item)

Then he topped it off with fort George & modern times stickers & great notion coasters!

Awesome stuff @FlintB ! It is a shame some did not make it but at least the total box was not devastated and USPS did not hassle you (I hope that is the case).
