Before I was able to complete my barrage on @NorthStateCustomCraft, he returned fire on me! Bill dropped an unexpected thumper on my porch today.



I'm really excited for these, its a great mix of WC and EC style IPAs. A day when Moonraker shows up on my door step is always a good day. Thank you for the generous return fire Bill! They are chilling in the fridge and won't last long.

Alright this is getting a bit crazy now...third box receieved from the great state of Michigan within the last week and a half today(didnt know FedEx delivered on Sunday)...I feel like @strohme2 is behind this one, but given my prior call out history, I am not so sure....lol Some MI style Chili(didnt know they had a style) and some cherry honey mustard. Also hot sauce!!....I really enjoy good hot sauce/salsa, even though i end up paying for it later. Bunch of new ticks and these three barrel Aged brews from Kuhnhenn Brewing look like fun!!

 

Fellas there have been some excellent boxes flying around lately. Too many for me too keep up with, but I haven’t seen a bad box yet this round. I love being a part of this group, the generosity is overwhelming!

Blind beer from @SouthernSips
Says 8% on the notes.

Gary said chugs or nah on the can, the big boy can at 8% scared me into a nah.

aroma was big tropical fruit, initially I expected there was some added fruit, not just fruity hops.
Hazy golden orange straw with a big foamy off white head. Leaves some sticky lacing as it settles.
The flavor is still quite fruity but leaning more towards just big hoppy flavors instead of actual additions, but I’d say tangerine is definitely a possibility.
Dry, soft, smooth and tasty.
Sweet but good level of background bitterness.
If I have to guess I’d say this is a well made DIPA, New England style. Better than most and interesting. Could be an everyday drinker.

Crowd Control Imperial IPA from Southern Prohibition. I enjoyed this a lot. Lots of layered hop flavors. I kept thinking I was missing something, but it’s a very well put together IIPA with great balance.

milky pink color fizzy short head
huge strawberry vanilla nose
drinks little creamy with ginormous strawberry sweetness and great vanilla balancing it out

tremendous Jay have had before happy to revisit so good perfect share beer too cause it is on the sweet side, luckily had it before the night got out of control

 

I have been been a little lax in the last week with the AC issues at home but I have had a couple of stellar boxes dropped on me the in the last couple days.

first up @FlintB sent a 3rd box before I could get mine out to him, this one came Friday and I am ashamed to say I have already partaken several over the weekend.



Transient Hodag DDH DIPA (this one fell yesterday in the pool very well done)
Homes Shades ( I love this beer so smooth and creamy tons of citrus)
Speciation Incipient w/ apricots (always happy to see anything from Speciation)
Transient Bark Star imperial stout brewed with vanilla and peanuts



Dragon's Milk Rum BA stout with chocolate, hazelnut and toasted coconut ( I love getting these only time I see them is when I find them in NC on trips)
No Rules MI Maple Syrup (This one made it though the weekend but I doubt it will make it though this week)
No Rules Banana Foster ( This one did not and was loved by me and the wife. So much real banana the apple brandy worked so well with this.

So today @Snrubnivek dropped a Fedex box on me. Kevin said he though he had a barleywine I would like and offered to send it. I said sure, he also asked if i had gotten any of the 2020 BA Expedition stout which I had not. Kevin made my dreams come true!!

It did...I forgot to snap a pick before the wife went...."ugggghhh, another glass!!"....and packed it up(we are in process of listing house this week, so the decluttering has been quite the process...lol), very much appreciated!...actually almost dropped it when I opened since its a bit bottom heavy...lol
