Well that pic kind of confirms for @SirBottlecap and @AndyCapp that there are no caps from any breweries in South Dakota that are available for collectors in the thread on that topic.

For now! I'm sure there will be 100 more breweries open by then in SD, all with a different cap for each style they brew. The power of positive drinking!!!

I've been waiting for 4 years to find a cap from SD and so I'm happy to play the waiting game and keep looking. Sooner or later I'm sure that one inspired microbrewery in Rapid City, Sturgis or Sioux Falls....... will issue branded caps.

Hehe. Yes, OP. You should definitely hold on to your bottle caps. As other responses surmise- you'll never know when you'll need them for post apocalyptia. I will say that the tables above are very artfully done.

BAs! I recently was gifted a Beer Caps Map (beercapsmap.com) which induced fingering through the (estimated) 4000 beer caps I have been saving for the last 5 years. I ran across some that I am I having a brainfart identifying. Hoping y'all can help. Thanks in advance!

I think the "S" one is Southampton, and I think the one to the right of Pretty Things is Harpoon, although I've never seen it using a black cap. The "California Brewed" one was used by multiple breweries, but I don't recall why they did that.

true dat on the Midnight Sun.Top left: Wolaver's. "California Brewed" I always find on Moylan's bottles, but I believe they also might be from Marin Brewing. Harpoon is also correct. NSB is Napa Smith Brewing, Napa, California. The angel with horn is from Canada, the man on the horse is Belgian...I forget the breweries, dang it! They are still at some local stores, though. Google "Bottlecap Index" for more possible help. Also "CSI" is another helpful resource, but you have to register first. This IS a fun game!

...this, according to Bottlecap Index. I have the same thing written on the inside of mine, which could mean nothing, but I usually write the beer on the back if it isn't obvious.
