I also missed the coffee dark star, but thought the kentucky dark star, BBomb, and 1st nail were all great. Definitely not as crowded as I was expecting.

Definitely bummed I missed out on that event. Too much stuff going on all at once! The Funky Buddah Morning Wood was a nice consolation prize though. Savor week FTW

Brewer's Association, 2008. Usually in DC, but was in NY the year CBC was in DC.

Heard the Founders Fremont even twas great. CBS lasted almost until 5. Many people got in, had a pour then booked it to get to ChurchKey. Leaving a lot of CBS left. Anyone know how that event went?

Morning Wood was phenomenal. Better than CBS.

Are there any events going on tonight not listed on the savor page? I know there's the wicked weed/new Belgium event at city tap house, but not much else listed on there so was wondering if there was anything else not listed. Decided against going to savor and just going to do birch and barley for dinner and maybe hang out at Churchkey/city tap house after, unless other events are going on

We got to Surly around 830PM and they ran out of BA Darkness. They said they brought 4 cases...they ran through 48 bottles within an hour.

I was not that impressed by the BA Darkness. Allagash gets bwst of show two years running. The Flanders from Yazoo was excellent, and I really enjoyed Uplands offerings. The best one-two punch may have been 4 Hands with Madagascar and Super Flare.

I wasn't overwhelmed by Darkness either. I thought that Hardywood Foolery, Fremont Abominable, 4 Hands Madagascar, and Cigar City Caffe Americano were all better. Darkness was good, but I was a little let down. I loved The Pupil from Societe and thought Independence Pass Ale from Aspen was a pleasant surprise.

It was a great event from my perspective. I was a little surprised that a couple of breweries that I wanted to hit ran out of beer (Country Boy and Finback) well before closing.

For those that have attended in years past, was the previous years' beer selections comparable or better than this years?

Came up from Florida for the event and had a really good time. I was happy to meet at least one BA member in person (@Iamjeff6 ... thanks for the pregame share, though that was clearly unnecessary!) to put a face to a name and also to see some familiar faces from home. I'm not sure I would make this an annual tradition but I'd certainly come back again. I'm always reminded at festivals like this just how much great beer is out there that I'd never see otherwise!

Was a pleasure to finally meet you and glad we had the chance to share some bees, I hope we get that opportunity again either in VA or FL. Had a blast sharing beers before SAVOR, then drinking all the awesome beers at the event with some good food pairings, and then even made it out to City Tap House after for their Wicked Weed take over. Was a fun filled beer day and no hangover the next day.

Lots of awesome beers. Fremont Abominable was my favorite. Thought NOLA's sour was very good. Matina Rose was excellent. I was there on Friday, seemed like more food than last year. Reuben's Brew's Triple IPA and Knee Deep Simtra were my favorite IPAs. Drakes Flemish Red was another winner for me.

Kudos to Schlafly for bringing two beers never seen in this market. Also Kudos for Lagunitas for bringing two beers you can buy at 7-11s to a $135 event. One less table to visit.

NOLA Lowerline was awesome, I found it to be pretty sour but still enjoyable.
