    This was my 6th year (missed 2010 & 2011).
I like the event I just wish that DC didn't power up there scene for 'SAVOR week' and I could catch their bars in their natural habitat instead of total tap takeover of the day.

Well to be fair, I can't buy those Lagunitas beers at a 7/11

true, they are more crowded. but their offerings are better for the tap takeovers. plus, those takeovers attract more savor tourists. instead of just the selection offered at savor, the tap takeovers offer additional selections.

Are you referring to the Cigar City/Funky Buddha event at CK? Hunahpu was definitely not on the menu there.

Yes, but everyone knows that the tap takeover is the scourge of the earth.

This is something we weigh heavily. To this point the four tap takeover in four days model has proven to be king. I would love for more out of town folks to get to see our bars (Meridian Pint, Brookland Pint, Smoke and Barrel) in their natural state. Hope it moves toward that model down the road.

What was the take-home beer this year? I was able to try the Firestone Walker/Flying Dog collab last year and thought it was awesome.

Heavy Seas/Yards Collab on an English style pale ale. "Aged on white oak, Philtimore is both crisp and fruity; English-inspired and American hopped. A true collaboration."

    Has anyone opened one yet?

No, but I plainly told the guy pouring it at the event that I'd wait as I'd rather try beers I wasn't taking home.

Opened it Saturday. It was pretty solid. Didn't get much of the oak, but seemed pretty true to the style.

I actually tried it Sunday. I did not care for it. But I do not care for the style either.

I have to be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of the breweries either.

Norm's has Philtimore in their email for 3.99 at 22 ounce bottle. Either that is a wrongly listed price or....

Tried it at the event. Was pretty underwhelmed.

My luggage went over the 50lb mark at the airport just before flying home. I'll give you 1 guess as to what didn't make the trip home.

Oh I had some last weekend. But 3.99 a bottle! That is dirt cheap around here! Overestimated demand maybe?

Really? Previous Savor beers were only given at Savor and were not offered for general sale at stores or their breweries.

Arrowine listed it for the same price last week in their email

I have had it. I think it might be overpriced.

Some have come out months later, but not within a month of the event.
