    How the mighty have fallen.

Maybe I'm wrong about these festivals, but very few of these breweries are truly "exciting" to me and I haven't heard of most.

the breweries selected are chosen by lottery system broken down by region. the BA actually has no control whether exciting/sexy breweries attend.

IMO the exciting part is sampling new beers from breweries i've never heard of during SAVOR week events and the event itself.

I agree with pksauce seems like an overpriced beer festival especially since I read that you don't need to go to Savor to sample rare and wonderful beers: Many of the breweries hold tasting events and meet-and-greets at D.C. beer bars in the days before the festival.

Savor weekend was fun last year, until I see a beer list for the breweries I cant decide yet. The most fun was having a small bottle share in our hotel room, then hitting some tap takeovers after Savor, then wandering around at 2 in the morning looking for food.

Oh and hitting the Italian store for some subs with @HopAttack3

OUCH. Yet again, the events surrounding Savor will be better than Savor. I understand that you want to let people in and let everyone have a chance, but then you end up with a list like that. Definitely plenty of good liquid but wow. This is why other events that have curated lists of breweries will always be better than random. Maybe I'm just salty about not getting my ping pong ball picked.

This will also sell out immediately regardless of ticket prices so what do the organizers care?

Is this still true? I remember in 2011/2012 there was a CCB/FB event at Churchkey, but it was because both breweries were in town. What's their rational to come up?

And I agree about the equal choice and it's great to try smaller breweries, but you can balance that by having some heavy hitters that will draw people in.

I've gone the last two years and loved it. Hopefully the beer list inspires this year.

There are tons of great events with in market and out of market beers. Even if you went to CK every night it would be better than spending the money for a savor ticket.

Still no beers listed, tix went on sale last year on March 25th, and I thought they had beers up already by this time last year...

I've noticed the breweries names are now clickable/expandable, so they'll probably have the info up soon.

They've been like that for a couple weeks now, I check everyday in hopes that they updated it.

Sure would be nice if they updated with what beers are going to be there since tickets go on sale next week.

Looks like they added a new page to the nav bar for the beers http://www.savorcraftbeer.com/beers/

And yea... looks like I won't be going for the first time in 8 years... *sigh* There's plenty of new breweries in the NoVA area I need to visit for the first time when I come to visit that week including Ocelot and Aslin.

How many pilsners do they need to bring to this event. Sierra, way to bring back Hop Hunter for the 2nd year in a row. Bell's table looks strong as does Crux.
