I skipped this event, last year, but the brewery list seem to have improved and I might need to revisit. This is the 10th year and they have added 10 more breweries (86). Just a reminder to those interested, Public tickets go on sale today. (March 22nd). As a side note, is there a collaboration beer this year? I don't remember hearing anything about one this time around.
Hardywood and New Belgium. One thing I haven't seen anything about are the salons. Considering most of them sold out last year, I'd be surprised that they would remove the add-on.
I've gone the last two years and I'm going again this year. I think the brewery list is solid enough and has more than enough interesting options for me. It looks like this year most the of the broadly distributed craft brewers are also bring at least one option that isn't broadly available on the shelf. Last year, that was less the case.
My understanding is that they are not doing salons this year to create more space, including areas to sit. I agree it's surprising, but I'm glad they did.
No salons, which is a bummer, always liked the early salon, then getting into the general admission part without having to wait in line. They added 10 extra breweries, which will be on the balcony level where the charcuterie station was.
I went, know a ton of people who went as well. Per usual was a great event, food was more plentiful than in prior years and there were some great beers that were on hand that never make it here. Reuben's Triple Crush was a winner, as were both Melvin beers, Lost Abbey brought two excellent beers, and Bruery came in strong. Maui Brewing brought an excellent rum barrel coconut imperial porter that paired great with the curry papaya salad. The collab beer was easily the best since Hydra Cuvee.
