I've never attended Savor. Does anyone know if the $170 ticket includes multiple sessions or just a single session?

It's tough to know exactly how it's going to work because it's happening outside of DC for the first time ever. In the past, your ticket gave you unlimited access to food and beer for one night (from like 7-10 or so).

Thanks. I guess I'll have to wait and see. $170 for three hours - if that ends up being the case - is pretty steep.

Agreed. I really enjoyed my one experience at Savor, but I don't think I'd ever pay the steep price tag again. It's just too much and continues to go up every year. It was $110 when I went in 2011.

Oof, $170 this year? I think it was $150 last year. I went, and found it worthwhile - something to do once or twice, but not every year. The sessions are controlled, so the crowd is manageable, never more than a couple minute wait for a pour. The food is phenomenal as well.

If the cost too high, definitely take advantage of the Savor related events throughout the week. Definitely some great opportunities to try a lot of good beers without attending the actual event.

Agreed, it's almost better than DC beer week with the quality and amount of events. (Should be a fun week in NY)

Don't i remember people complaining about the food running out really early last year? or is that another beer fest that i'm thinking about?

I believe it was (like) $116 last year, ticket surcharges included...

The total on 4 with fees from ticketmaster last year was $501.50 (found my receipt). Tickets sold out immediately and were going for $250ish on stubhub. A few days before the event, people were selling them for ~$100 on craigslist. I thought it was well worth it and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food.

I went to the first one in 2010 or 2009 and it was like $85, I was super excited for this being much closer to home but $170 is even crazy for NYC.

It's in New York City. That's about all you need to know about any price increase this year.

The truth. I'll be there, Save pennies and skip a few purchases and it's not that bad.

Oh...I don't have an issue with the price. Was just being obvious in stating that everything on earth is more expensive in NY...and it probably accounts for at least a good portion of the price increase over last years event.

I was referring to people saying "No way, Over 80-100 bucks?! I'm out!" Not you, I assumed you didn't care either way actually. In my opinion 170-190 isn't too bad considering what you get.

A couple friends of mine that were in town for Philly Beer Week last year attended this in DC and said they had a great time, although the food ran out pretty early from their standpoint.

I heard about the food issue (it was also touched upon in this thread) and believe it'll be addressed. Not a concern of mine really as I'm just as much a foodie as a beer guy so food will be focus number one. I'll also be in attendance with my chef/restaurant owner friend so we'll attacking.
Is anyone else actually going from BA?

I'd venture to guess there will be a large number of people from this site in attendance. I'm with you on the food thing too. I love beer...but top flight food will always be a bigger draw for me.
