Anyone who is interested in pouring for the festival this year please reach out to me at [email protected] . The City of Snohomish will be setting up a class to get us eligible to pour.
We are tying in with the Festival of Pumpkins this year and hope to byte off of Elysians idea and keep the biggest pumpkin in Snohomish to turn it into a keg and pour the winner of the "best pumpkin beer" contest the brew crew will be putting on in early October. The website is http://www.festivalofpumpkins.org/brewfest.asp
The 2012 Festival will actually be two days Oct. 26th and 27th. Tickets will be $25/person for one day and will include the “Snohomish Sausage” meal and 5- 4oz tasting tokens OR $35/person for a two day ticket that will include a commemorative glass, the meal and 10-4oz tasting tickets. The big push now is to recruit breweries. My goal is to recruit 25 breweries.
Here is some of the information for the festival for this year. Hopefully some of you can make it and if anyone is interested in volunteering I would definitely appreciate the help. What I'm sending to the breweries and distributors: On behalf of the Snohomish BrewFest it is my pleasure to invite you to pour at the 2nd Annual Snohomish BrewFest that will be held Friday, October 26th and Saturday, October 27th. The Fest will open on Friday at 5pm for the sponsors and then from 6-10pm for the general public. On Saturday the Festival will run from Noon – 8pm. All BrewFest proceeds support the Snohomish Senior Center and is held at their facility located at 506 Fourth Street, Snohomish, WA 98290. Last years Snohomish BrewFest was a huge success with nearly 400 guests for the one day event. The City of Snohomish plays host too many very successful festivals including our wine festival in March and the Snohomish on the Rocks Distillery Festival in April and we are pleased that annual BrewFest will be the largest of all these events. The Snohomish BrewFest is one of the activities held in partnership with the Snohomish Festival of Pumpkins which brings well over 200,000 guests to the greater Snohomish community in October of each year. We will be pre-selling tickets so we will be able to accurately gage the guest count as the BrewFest nears to assist you in planning the amount of beer needed. We ask that you select two to three of your varieties to share. The BrewFest will purchase the beer you pour at your wholesale cost. Early commitment is recommended as we will only be able to host 20 breweries this year. The guest tickets will be $25/person for a one day ticket and the guest will receive 5 tasting tokens each token may be exchanged for a 4oz sample pour. Included with their ticket will be an original “Snohomish BrewFest” sausage dinner. We will also offer a $35/person 2 day ticket that will include 10-tasting tokens, the Snohomish BrewFest sausage dinner and a commemorative glass. We will also have live acoustic entertainment. Please CONFIRM your acceptance of this invitation by email to Debbie Emge at [email protected] or telephone 360-282-3197 as soon as possible as brewery space is limited. Please let me know if you have any additional questions or suggestions, Page 2 The 2nd Annual Snohomish BrewFest will be held October 26th and 27th The Snohomish BrewFest is the major fundraiser that supports the programs and operations of the Snohomish Senior Center, which is an organization dedicated to serving and providing programs and meals for it’s over 500 members and the community of Snohomish. As always the success of our fundraiser events are largely due to the contributions of our sponsors who have gone out of their way to lend financial support to our many events.
