Seattle Beer Week is rapidly approaching. Let's chat about beers and events! A FB post from Skookum just now showed a Chuck's Hop Shop employee, Devin, helping to brew Chucklehead, an ImpIPA featuring Galaxy, Citra, Amarillo, and Chinook. On tap at both Chuck's during SBW. Citra and Amarillo are among my favorite hops, and Skookum is among my favorite local breweries, so I'm looking forward to this. What y'all got in yer sights?

The Masonry is just killing it again.

Was just looking at the schedule earlier today. Living up in Bham, I'll only be in town on the 14th. I'll be looking to head to the Masonry and maybe Bottleworks for a little 3-way  What about the Sixgill holding their 4th annual Farmhouse... has anyone been and is it worth checking out on limited time?

I'm off work the next 2 days so I'm planning on making the walk down 85th to Chucks for pucker up. Very nice beer list and very affordable too.

Also, the new de Garde beer, Anian, is on tap at Holy Mountain. Nice surprise.

Same as @stillilll, I grabbed a bottle of Anian and very curious about this one. There were also a couple cases of de Garde's Rogue Reserve available. Hopefully choosing Anian was a good decision.

Not gonna lie, some of the SBW events have been a little underwhelming so far. Highly anticipating Chuck's barrel event next weekend. The Masonry is awesome BTW.

What is up with Three Magnets? This brewery is killing it during SBW along with a lot of their releases lately.

UNITA Brewing had a gathering in Kirkland that was a freaking joke! Why even bother to show up after arriving extremely late and disrespecting the establishment ownership? Then the reps main goal was to get sh!t faced because SBW was stressing her out.

The Beta 10.3 batch of 3-Way at Bottleworks is really good. Stopped in at Toronado this afternoon and tried Boneyard's new Gueze Crueze sour which was a serious improvement over their last sour attempts.

Firestone Walker Krieky Bones at the Pine Box was epic, a great SBW one-off and other great beers too. But what is up with the service at the Pine Box, i stand there for 10min at the bar waiting after it has slowed down and seems less busy only to be greated by a surly uncaring bartender???

Maybe you're not cool enough? Maybe you don't tip with a gram of blow?

I'll actually be up there for a few days this week. I plan on hitting the Sour Fest at Brouwer's on Thursday.

Why do you say that? I've only been there once and it was ages ago...

trying to order from the bar there is not a fun experience if it's busy at all, let alone during a beer event.

I'm employed not too far from Pine Box. I hear so many mixed reviews on this place. Especially from people that live in the neighborhood. Is it primarily service issues? Seems like they get a ton of publicity. Live in Greenwood, but seem to find myself at Beer Junction before the crowds build in evenings. Don't get me wrong, big fan of Chucks on 85th (walking distance) also.

I wondered if that was just a name Toronado put on their board (and in doing so, 'created' a new beer). The event info called it Funky Bunch instead, and that one has more check-ins.

Funky Bunch Wild Ale - 6.66 IBU/8% ABV: Wild ale aged in Foeders sourced from Bordeaux using mixed fermentation with brettanomyces drei, lambicus and lacto.
