Schaumburg Area BA's

Left her (event planner) a voicemail tonight. Still no call back. I will post an update tomorrow.

 

I doubt you'll get a call back, she's out on maternity leave. Also, service there has always sucked.

 

They told me to stop in yesterday to talk to her. Not sure why they would say that if she were on maternity leave. I couldn't make it there, so I called, like I said. Should we just show up?

 

UPDATE. I just spoke with Ally (who was very nice and helpful) from Durty Nellies. I made a reservation for 12 people at 6 p.m. tomorrow. We're going to be on the patio, since the weather should be nice. Reservation is under Greg. I mentioned the bottle sharing. She gave me a couple options, which we can discuss tomorrow. Please, no bottle sharing tomorrow, but we definitely can set that up for future events. I may have estimated the number a little high, but I might have a buddy or two who aren't on BA attend.

I just moved back to Chicagoland from Athens, OH and I'm hosting a homecoming tasting at my place in Arlington Heights the afternoon of Oct. 5th.

BM me for address, it would be nice to meet some local BA's.

 

I had planned to make this event, but here I am now, just leaving the office..... I HATE work. Sorry I missed you guys but I will attempt to make the next one. I will be at the next Durty Dukes meeting if any of you plan on going, I hope tonight was awesome.

When IS their next meeting? It should be this coming Monday but I havent heard anything from them yet.

So how did it go at the meet-up last night? Where you able to talk to management about the bottle share? Do we have any future meet ups planned?

 

We broke into executive session and decided future meet ups will be at fellow BA's houses and/or Dobby's in Palatine.

 

Awesome it might actually be even better if it is at someones house(less rules). Keep me informed.

 

Yep. It's just too damn expensive, and unnecessary, considering the cellar size of most BAs. Coirm might be the first to host. I will let him handle that. We mentioned a monthly get together. Obviously it won't work for everyone, but if we can get a group of 8-12 regulars, a 75% attendance rate would be perfect.
