I mentioned earlier that I'm having people over to my place in Arlington Heights on Oct. 5th starting around 1pm. I've got a bunch of stouts, some Jackie O's, Hill Farmstead, Russian River sours, among others. Let me know if you'd like to join in.

Well, I know it's been a month since our meet and greet. My apologies for not shouting out sooner......babies, work, life, yadda, yadda, yadda. I had a great time meeting all of you. I am still planning on having a tasting. Went to the one Gpawned had and learned a lot about how to do it right! My tasting will be on a weekend, what I learned was not to rush things. The downside is that if we have a bunch if bottles, event can run a little long. I am thinking that starting a little earlier, like 4 or 5 and having some substantial munches is a good idea. Maybe set a limit on bottles.... Not sure, open to comments and advice. Another sit down may be required. Thanks again Greg and Duffman. Also, Greg, if you need Zombie Dust let me know.

Hey everyone, relatively new to BA and just found this thread. I live in Long Grove and would love to get involved in a regular tasting group. Do you have room for another? I don't really have a 'cellar' started at this point but am getting going on trades so I hope to get some interesting stuff coming in soon. Anyways, thanks and cheers!

That start time is cool with me. I would prefer a Saturday, if it's weekend only. Have people bring a bottle or two, along with some munchies, or ask people to chip in a few bucks to cover food. Let's start discussing a date.

A weekend tasting sounds like a great idea. I've been building a collection in my basement so I'm ready to share

Good evening, hope the past regulars see this bump. I have vainly tried to find a day to do a tasting at my home, but life keeps getting in the way. I have family staying with us, most likely till spring, so its been a bit crowded here. I will definetly have a get together once we can be outside.... That being said I would be up for either another meetup or perhaps someone else could volunteer their place for a session. With the Spring coming up (not fast enough) I would like to drink up some Coffee Stouts I have obtained. I am proposing a BCBS Coffee Throwdown. I have a 2010, 2012, and a single 2013 coffee. Post or BM me any comments, advice, threadshits, or ideas.... Sláinte.

I happen to have 2011 coffee BCBS to fill the gap that I've been saving for something like that. Let me know when you're thinking about it

I happen to have a house in Schaumburg that is full of beer. I think we may be onto something here...

My brother and I live in the city but are from Schaumburg. The P's have a condo in Palatine around the corner from Nellies. Got every BCBS variant save BCBCS '10 (Rare, Vanilla, Bramble, Cherry, Prop, Backyard, Coffee '11-13, BW, and KH) among many others. I'd be happy to bring some back to the hood.

Ok now this is just getting stupid! If we've got all of the BCBS bottles the least I could do is add some similarly flavored beers for comparison:

    Lindley Park (Raspberry)
    Vanilla Noir (Vanilla)
    Peruvian Morning '13 & '14 (Coffee)
    Olde Rabbits Foot (Pappy Barrel)
Sierra Nevada 30th Anniversay Jack & Kens (Black Barleywine)
FiftyFifty Eclipse Buffalo Trace '13 ("Regular" BCBS)

I'm available March 29 and April 26 and could probably even host those days as well.

I will be in San Diego (woo hoo!) on April 26, but could most likely swing March 26, assuming we meet at least late afternoon or evening. i will definitely be working that day.

Unless something changes, April 26 is Dark Lord Day.

Good catch! I anticipate being unavailable that day. That said, anybody suburbanites with DLD tix that want to meet up at FFF, I'm in. I usually head downtown and take the shuttle from Reggie's to DLD.

Hey guys, I've been looking for a regular tasting group in the Schaumburg/Palatine area! I've been to a few Durty Dukes meetings so I'm sure I've met some of you before but I haven't posted on BA much outside of trading. I'll have to keep an eye on this thread for the next meetup as I have too much beer that I need some help consuming.

Not sure if this is open to new members, but I should be able to flush out the Noir comparisons with regular and coffee by the time March 26th rolls around. Let me know if there is room for one more and what else I'd need to bring to earn a spot! I have all of this years BCBS variants but just got into this within the last year and half, so don't have much vintage stuff...

I'd like to join a tasting group if there is any room left. My current "group" usually consists of my one friend who enjoys craft and my gf who only enjoys non-ba stouts haha

I live right off of 53 and Algonquin road in Schaumburg

I'm still down to get something together. In downtown AH, and sitting on WAY too much beer to only do a tasting with friends every 2 months.
