Just missed it, I am out at around 4.

Anything going down on the 18th or 19th? I can host at my hotel (rar). Hitting up FFF on the 17th. 18th is my best night to cut loose since the 19th will be a light-ish work day.

Happy to bring some ny goandpickitupforyabro too if anyone has any requests and I have time to make a stop at a local bottle shop. Converse

I'm unavailable next week but would be open to meeting up when you're in town in the future. In the Schaumburg area I like to go to Durty Nellies, Bigbys, and Blues Bar to drink beer. All have updated beer lists on beermenus.com. Westwood Tavern and White Chocolate are good restaurants with above average beer lists. There's a new place called The Beer Market which has a large list. Nothing totally rare but you'll find plenty of local stuff there that you probably haven't had. It's also next door to White Chocolate which has great food and a really nice whiskey list. Fox & Hound is the place I go to watch sports and get good beer. Westwood is pretty awesome upstairs, too.

Hope this gives you some "to-dos" if nothing formal comes together.

Topless Wytch is on at FFF now, $10 bomber. Was considering it yesterday at my local, but for $13 plus tax I passed. ZD right now (prob sold out by today) and Man O Awe too but I don't know much about that one. If the offer of pickitupforyabrah is still on I'm interested in a fresh 4 pk of Gandhi-bot. I was gonna offer FFF TW, but you're better off buying it yourself direct. Let me know what other local Chicago wants you'd be interested in if the Nebco GB is on.

for those of us with family/friends/mules in the VT area (not me unfortunately):

The next monthly appearance at the Montpelier Farmers Market for Lawson’s Finest Liquids is slated for Saturday, March 15 at 10am. While they typically come locked and loaded with a full docket of bottles, the brewery has advised people against driving from hours away strictly for this event due to the “VERY LIMITED selection of beer.” Pick your poison, people.
    The beers:
    • Double Sunshine IPA (8.0%, 22oz) – 2 bottle limit/person
    • Sticky Ale (bourbon barrel-aged Maple Nipple, 9%, 375ml) – 2 bottle limit/person
    • Fayston Maple Imperial Stout (10%, 750ml) – 1 bottle limit/person
I'm considering offering a kidney for the Fayston and Sticky. Just the gall bladder for the Double Sunshine.

I'll second that Gandhi Bot request. If you can pick some up without much trouble, I'd definitely be interested in a 4pk.

i've seen 668 cans around in one shop, but that's it for NEBCO. even the 668 is probably not all that fresh anymore...never seen ghandi bot on our shelves.

dang, well thanks for the info - I was just going off of seekabrew.com. said Nebco is distro'd to NY, but apparently they keep the good stuff for themselves.

OTWOA is a seriously tasty brew. Only had it once, but it's pretty great.

I'll probably be going to Bigbys on the 30th for DDC, Bigbys was the place where I first tasted Galactic DDC about a year or two ago. I'll be going tonight as well to see my buddies play open mic.

Haha, f-yeah for verticals. Oh, and next year I can bring 12, 13 aaaaand 14! Group B, y'all.

It'll be my 6th year attending DLD. However, I have to say I sincerely feel bad for those who tried and can't get in. I am the luckiest DLD SOB there is, and that's all it is, luck.

If you guys go to Bigby's Pour House, let me know if youd like to have a tasting event there. I'm best buds with the owner, and Ed wants to have an event there. He would shut the place down if we get enough people and have a private event for us. Let me know who would be interested in it.

Also, if anyone wants to meet up there for a beer ever, I live 5 min. away. Im always down to bring a few bottles to sip on.

I'd be very interested! Mid-May would be my suggestion. Heard there may be an annual RIS release in NW IN sometime in late April that I'd like to try.......could just be a rumor though.
