This is my favorite of the year so far....kind of different and I can't quite put a finger on it but it is delicious....candy sweet but in a milder sense....much prefer to Summit this year which is also very good again.....Point is below average.....Leinie about the same....that is all I have had so far....no true Germans yet...
I definitely enjoyed the Schell's O-fest the most. Summits is usually my favorite, but didn't do it for me this year. I was also a big fan of Left Hand O-Fest.
Haven't seen Schell yet, I think it is one of the top two or three US brewed O-fests. Looking forward to it. I didn't think Summit was as good as in the past.
Schell's is year in and year out one of the best. Last night I tried Lift Bridge's Okt fest and loved it. Most of the time I don't care for that style.
Something about Staghorn just does not do it for me. One of my least favorite NG beers. I will have to revisit Schell's O-fest but I have been underwhelmed in the past.
I went looking for Schell's Oktoberfest last night to no avail. I got New Belgium's Red Hoptober instead and was pleasantly satisfied.
I've had Summit and Great Lakes and liked both. Will probably still get some Schell and Surly though I don't know if the latter is really considered an O-Fest. In prior years I've really liked Bell's.
Did a four ofest blind taster yesterday. Not real hard to identify the different beers in this one and this is how i rate them. 1.Schell 2.Sam Adams 3.Spaten 4.Summit
