Man I really like what Schell's is about and where they going. And I just had their Goosetown and was thoroughly impressed. First, kudos for showing that uniqueness and creativity does not mean that it has to be crazy. Second, Schell's is introducing me to styles I haven't tried before, if if they are long standing style types. Well made always. Becoming a real favorite brewery.
They need to bring back Emerald Rye. Make it a seasonal or apart of the 12 pack sampler. Come on Schells, just do it.
I can see the circa 1992 'City Pages' ad copy now: "The August Schell's Greatest Hits 12-pack sampler. Brewed by Germans*, delivered by Rex Distributing." (*"Hand-bottled by gnomes who care.")
They could pull a Summit and make Emerald Rye a late winter seasonal. Just a smaller run though so it doesn't collect dust.
