It could be taking time. It seems that it took a lot longer for this to show up outside the core if the Twin Cities. My local liquor store and one close to Minneapolis finally got it this week.

Casanova tweeted a pic of it back on the 2nd of September but I haven't seen it anywhere in the NW part of the state either.

Star of the North is now gone from Mendota Liquor. I just grabbed the last bottle when I was near there for a wedding on Saturday. Framboise is still on the shelf, though, and I believe for $10.99

Anyone have Dawn of Aurora at ABR? The rep said it was going to be the 5th or 6th in the series (they were going to make it 6th, but its drinking so good already he said they might make it the next in the sieries). Its SOOOO freaking good. best berliner ive ever had. It was like drinking a tart green apple. the fruity brett strain they used was awesome. So good...

I've seen it over the past couple weeks at Hayward CO-OP, Hayward Marketplace, Village Dell & Wine (Rice Lake), and Coffee Grounds Eau Claire.

CO-OP had Brunette and Famboise for $10.99 & Black Forest for $13.99.

Marketplace had Black Forest for $14.99

Village Dell had Framboise for $10.99 and Black Forest for $13.99

Coffee Grounds had all 4 in the series for $10.99 each

It's in eastern Iowa. Benz got it when they got the Tilquin. I know there's a full case sitting at the Marion Hy Vee, $14.99.

I know Glazer's has it. It's just not going out to accounts yet.

Do you mean just in DSM? Because it's definitely in CR.

Yes, Glazer's just isn't the best distributor when it comes to logistics...hopefully Friday at Fleur. I know Prairie Trail isn't bringing in Schell's at this time but expect there will be some other accounts who bringi t in. Michael Agnew's review that likens it to a lambic makes me even more excited for this brew:

I would definitely agree with him. We had this beer 2 days after Zwanze and the kriek like aroma on Black Forrest Cherry was incredible.

the awesome news from the article:
"Schell’s is building a facility to expand the Noble Star series. Eight additional cypress tanks will be restored and installed in the 12,000-square-foot space, which also will include a tasting room."

They currently have 2 tanks and are adding 8 more! nice. with that kind of production capacity I hope we see these beers in 4 packs at some point like NG thumbprint series. How badass would that be to get berliners in a $12 4 pack on the regular?

I wonder how many cypress tanks they have to restore?

I hope this means an expanded sour program (beyond Berliner's). Though if they are sticking to strictly German styles, that will limit them I suppose. Oh well, Gose me.
