I passed on SotN (had enough NG Berliner), but I won't pass on this if it shows up in Madison.

Up to $2,268 in beer/wine spending for 2013.

Nice World Market snifter. I buy glass there too. It's super cheap!

$10.99 @ Haskell's in Chanhassen. They are using the same SKU as SotN.

They're losing $$ each time they sell one.

Had mine on Sunday night with Walking Dead! There were some chunks of raspberry in the pour. Like SotN, I think this one needs a couple months before it REALLY shines, but it was delicious. With SotN, I had it the week it was released and again three months later. HUGE difference.

It should be. If you can't find it in the city, you might have to search out in the suburbs a bit.

I picked a FDN up last week at Beer Crazy in Urbandale, Iowa. I missed the first one, excited to try this one.

Yeah, the Nova posted FdN on Facebook on Mon. I think I'm going to head out there on Fri for a couple more growlers of TG brews. Both Pseudo Sue and Golden Nugget are awesome!

Ooooh, another I need to try. Seeing it will be Black Friday and all, I'm sure my wife will be spending her fair share, so it's only right for me to do the same! :)

Had this tonight, among quite a few other good beers.
It was by far the overall favorite.
    I'll be getting more.

I really liked the normal SotN, but I didn't care much for this. Really sour and dry, and I thought it almost had a vinegar quality about it. The only fruit beers I've had before are from New Glarus, but this was totally different. I'm not familiar with lambics or sours, but if that's your thing than this might be for you.

Seeing this every place I stop anymore. Seems to be plenty on the shelves right now. $13.99-$14.99. Cracking mine tonight.

I agree, it seems there is a lot more than just the original shipment. I picked up two more bottles yesterday for $10.99.

And I felt this was better than SotN, but both are stellar. I do like Lambics though, and this had some definite similarities.

It's not a fruit beer, it's a Berliner Weisse, completely different style. That's why it's sour and dry - 'cause it's supposed to be!:)

Just as an FYI, the Star of the North and #1 and #2 have the same barcode so there may be more than a few stores out there accidentally charging under cost for #2.

I imagine the whole series will share the same SKU. As someone who works at a bottleshop, I can't believe how often places don't check the price of a new product just because it rings up.

Found some Star of the North today - but didn't pull the trigger yet, thinking of heading back after work to grab. Pretty good stuff huh? Have a FdN sitting in the fridge at home, been waiting to crack open.

There was a bunch of Framboise du Nord at Firkins last night when I was there.
