Had this tonight, among quite a few other good beers.
It was by far the overall favorite.
    I'll be getting more.
I can see why OP is hoarding it.:sunglasses:

I really liked the normal SotN, but I didn't care much for this. Really sour and dry, and I thought it almost had a vinegar quality about it. The only fruit beers I've had before are from New Glarus, but this was totally different. I'm not familiar with lambics or sours, but if that's your thing than this might be for you.

Seeing this every place I stop anymore. Seems to be plenty on the shelves right now. $13.99-$14.99. Cracking mine tonight.

I agree, it seems there is a lot more than just the original shipment. I picked up two more bottles yesterday for $10.99.

And I felt this was better than SotN, but both are stellar. I do like Lambics though, and this had some definite similarities.

It's not a fruit beer, it's a Berliner Weisse, completely different style. That's why it's sour and dry - 'cause it's supposed to be!

Just as an FYI, the Star of the North and #1 and #2 have the same barcode so there may be more than a few stores out there accidentally charging under cost for #2.

I imagine the whole series will share the same SKU. As someone who works at a bottleshop, I can't believe how often places don't check the price of a new product just because it rings up.

Found some Star of the North today - but didn't pull the trigger yet, thinking of heading back after work to grab. Pretty good stuff huh? Have a FdN sitting in the fridge at home, been waiting to crack open.

I really enjoyed it, so much so that I have one in the cellar and one in the fridge still!
