ISO of the Noble Star #1 berliner. A friend and I have ended up with the four other variants and are looking to track down the first Star of the North, because as Raul Dukes says "...once you get locked into a serious berliner weisse collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can." What's it take? If you have one, what would you want for one? Lemme know. Cheers!
Finding the right set of eyes basically. I saw one last October, which shocked me as that was the first time in a long time. There was a recent cache found at a store here in the Twin Cities, but it is long gone. I have heard of random sightings in smaller town liquor stores in Wisconsin, but nothing confirmed. I am sure people have it, hard to say what it would take though. One would hope about $4$ for a limited beer. SotN was about $10-$13 if I recall correctly. Limited release stouts and sours seem to get stuff done, probably what I would try.
Haven't seen any Star but found 2 dust covered Framboise du Nord at a shop in Wisconsin a few weeks ago. Planning a treasure hunt for Star after CW17 on Sunday. If I come across any I'll hit you up @CowsandBeer
Hello, I'm the other party in this deal. I think that CowsandBeer will be comfortable starting at a Love Child #4. Straight up. Any takers?
Love Child #4 had a pretty wide distro and in fact is still sitting on the shelf here in Minnesota. Personally, I think it would take something a little more special or at least not availible in the Midwest. I would just post an ISO and offer up some beers and see what happens.
nograz, Thank you, I appreciate the advise. Between CowsandBeer and myself we have VERY solid cellar stash(s). I'm sure that if anyone has a Star we can surely work this out with a proper $trade$.
I will keep an eye out for it around here in the Twin Cities, not holding out much hope, but will let you know if I find it.
